Lone Wolf Mowing

About Lone Wolf Mowing

The hour before sunset in a Valley Home summer is worth waiting for: the heat finally loosens its grip, long shadows stretch from the walnut and almond trees, and the distant Sierra foothills turn violet in the east. Lone Wolf Mowing does its lawn work in this open farm country, where the hum of a mower carries a long way across the fields. Under irrigation, valley grass shoots up hard and fast through June and July, and keeping it short and even takes steady attention. A name with some independence in it suits a place this wide and unhurried. When the job wraps up, the lawn lies flat and striped in the low amber light, clippings swept, and the evening belongs to the crickets.
