About Kean Stump Grinding

From the Vallejo hills the Carquinez Strait shows up in pieces between the rooftops, and the wind coming off it has been shaping these trees since long before the Victorians went up. Kean Stump Grinding takes the job all the way to the end: tree removal and tree trimming first, then the stump ground out below grade so the lawn can close over the spot and forget anything stood there. Grinding is patient work in a Vallejo backyard, where the gate is narrow and the neighbor's fence is a foot away, and the payoff is a level yard filled clean with chips. The crew works the flats near Mare Island and the slopes above them the same way. What a customer sees at the finish is simply grass, with no reminder left of what used to be in the middle of it.
