About Landscaping genesis

Some yards start at zero: bare dirt, a few rocks, whatever the last decade left behind. Landscaping genesis likes the beginning of things — grading out the lumps, clearing weeds down to open ground, laying in turf and giving it the mowing and feeding it needs to knit. On the hill blocks where Vallejo's streets bend to follow the slope, a new lawn has to be built with the grade rather than over it. The first cut on fresh grass is one of the better moments in this trade. After that it's steady work: trimming, edging, weeds caught early, the yard held at the standard it started with.
