Acme Landscape Co. keeps Vallecito's yards and grounds in hand, cutting grass, shaping shrubs and hauling off dry growth so each property sits neat among the blue oaks and manzanita. On May evenings the limestone hills hold the day's warmth while the draws cool, and a just-finished yard smells of cut grass and sun-warmed oak leaves.
