About Affordable Arborist

Vacaville sits in the gap where the Delta breeze finds its way through the Vaca Mountains, cool air arriving late on a hundred-degree afternoon. Affordable Arborist reads trees for a living here: tree health first — the thinning canopy, the early leaf drop, the branch that leafed out weeks behind the rest — and then the tree care that answers what the tree is saying. Pruning is done for structure and light, cuts placed so the wound can close and the tree carries its own weight better through the next summer. Tree removal is the last option, kept for the walnut or oak that has failed at the root, with the ground left clean behind it. Out toward Lagoon Valley the oaks have been standing a long while, and the aim is always that a tree gets to go on standing.
