About Lucas Landscaping

First light in Tustin comes over the Santa Anas, and Saddleback's two peaks hold the color for a minute before the town below catches up. Lucas Landscaping starts near that hour, when dew is still on the blades and a mower cuts cleanest. Days go to mowing, edging, trimming and hauling off what the week left behind, yard after yard across the flats between the 5 and the 55. There is a plain pride in the finish line of it — the last pass laid down straight, the walk blown clean, nothing left but grass and a sharp edge at the concrete. Come evening those same peaks go rose again over streets full of lawns that were tended before most people were awake.
