EARTH1

About EARTH1

Out at Tustin Legacy the old hangar stands against the evening sky, big enough to hold its own weather, and the new lawns and parks that have grown up around it are pure Orange County present tense. EARTH1 tends the ground-level version of that story: grass kept at a steady height, edges run straight, beds cleared of the litter a dry wind leaves behind. There is real satisfaction in a lawn that has been walked and mowed in even passes, the kind of stripe you only get by paying attention to where you started. Work runs across Tustin's flats and out toward Irvine and Santa Ana, on the rhythm of a place where the green season begins with the first serious rain. Nothing dramatic, just a yard that keeps looking right, week after week.
