Acme Snow Removal

About Acme Snow Removal

At three in the morning on Donner Pass Road, the only sounds are falling snow and a freight train grinding toward the summit, the very hour Truckee's driveways get reclaimed. Acme Snow Removal clears snow in this high Sierra town, opening driveways and walkways after the storms that pour over the crest one after another. Winters here are counted in feet, and a single night can bury a parked car to its mirrors. The reward comes just before dawn: a straight-cut edge, a tidy bank along the road, and a dark ribbon of pavement running from garage to street. Handing a mountain town its morning is a good way to spend the night.
