About Willy's Landscaping

Late August, an hour before sundown, the light over Tracy goes the color of the almond dust drifting in from the orchards toward Lathrop, and every lawn in town looks better than it did at noon. Willy's Landscaping likes finishing in that light, because that is when the details show: the crisp edge cut along the sidewalk, the trimmer line held level around the mailbox post, the last pass of the mower squared to the driveway. Sprinklers get checked while the crew is there, since the difference between a green lawn and a striped brown one in this valley is usually a single clogged head. Cleanups come around with the calendar, leaves in fall and overgrowth in spring, hauled off rather than raked into a pile and forgotten. Simple work, done all the way to the corners.
