Back Nine Greens - Northern California

About Back Nine Greens - Northern California

Tobin sits deep in the Feather River Canyon, where granite walls crowd the North Fork and the highway and the railroad famously cross over one another on their way through. Level ground is rare in country this steep, which makes a smooth, true stretch of green feel like a small marvel. Back Nine Greens - Northern California brings a golfer's sense of turf to lawn care here: grass that rolls even, cut clean, with edges finished as neatly as the apron around a putting surface. Sunlight reaches the canyon floor late and leaves early, and well-kept turf catches every minute of it. Out among the pines and river boulders, that patch of order is a pleasure to look at and better to stand on.
