About Robert Freas Tree Service LLC

By October, Lake Kaweah has drawn down to its bathtub ring and the foothills above Three Rivers are the color of old straw, the highway climbing past them toward the big trees. Robert Freas Tree Service LLC spends that season on pruning and trimming — dead limbs out of the oaks, clearance cut back from roofs and outbuildings, the property readied before the weather changes. When a tree has to go, removal is planned around the slope, the driveway and the drop, and finished with the ground left smooth. Winter comes down hard and wet in this canyon, and storm damage cleanup is what follows: a limb sectioned off a fence, a lane reopened, the debris carried away. By spring those same places look as though the storms passed them by.
