About Gene Castro's Tree Services

In April the Kaweah's three forks come down loud and cold, redbud lights the canyon walls, and Three Rivers is briefly the greenest place in Tulare County. Gene Castro's Tree Services works the oak savanna and the river lots, pruning blue oaks and sycamores and trimming limbs back off cabins, decks and the road. Because the summers run long and hot here, cuts are made to leave a tree strong enough to hold up its own canopy through them. Removal happens where a tree threatens a structure, taken down in pieces on steep ground and hauled out clean. After a storm the cleanup opens the drive first and then works back toward the water, until nothing is left leaning.
