Panther's Landscape

About Panther's Landscape

Before the sun finds Thousand Palms, the desert is cool and dark and nearly silent — just the far-off hum of the interstate and the stars going pale. Panther's Landscape likes to begin there, in the last of the dark, so the loud work of mowers and trimmers is finished before the day gets serious about heat. By mid-morning the lawns are striped, the walks blown clean, the hedge tops level. There is a stealth to it that suits the name: the yard simply becomes right, as if overnight. Homes across Thousand Palms and the nearby Coachella Valley wake up to the result.
