About Chaparral Landscaping

A February rain here can last a single day and change everything: the hillsides turn from gray-green to deep green overnight and the air goes thick with the smell of wet sage. Chaparral Landscaping works with that short, generous season and the long dry one that follows — mowing, trimming, weed control and yard cleanup timed to how things actually grow in this valley, fast in the wet and patient in the heat. Getting the timing right is most of the craft; a weed pulled in January is ten that never happened in May. The payoff is a yard that stays legible all year, its lines holding while the open country does whatever it likes. Homes from Temecula down toward Fallbrook and Rainbow are kept on that same honest schedule.
