About Avila's Landscaping services

By two in the afternoon the pass has made up its mind. Wind pours down off the ridgelines above Tehachapi, the turbines lean into it, and every loose leaf in town goes looking for a corner to hide in. Avila's Landscaping services works right through it — mowing, shaping shrubs and hedges, raking out the drifts of debris the wind stacks against garage doors and stucco walls, then loading it all up and taking it away. There is a particular pleasure in beating the wind at its own game: a lawn cut clean and a yard swept bare while the air is still shoving back. The reward comes at dusk, when the gusts finally quit and the yard sits there looking like the weather never touched it.
