About 5 C's Landscaping

Morning in Cummings Valley arrives sideways, low gold sliding under the blue oaks before the day has decided what it wants to be. That is the hour 5 C's Landscaping likes best, mower already rolling while the grass still holds the night's cold in it. The work is the ordinary liturgy of a yard at four thousand feet: mowing, edging, string trimming along the fence line, then hauling the clippings off so nothing is left behind but the smell of cut grass. Turf earns every inch it grows up here, and it deserves to be treated like it. By the time the valley warms and the oaks pull their shade in tight, the border along the walk runs as straight as a surveyor drew it — a yard that looks like someone paid attention, because someone did.
