About Tahoe Rockscapes, Inc

Tahoe City is built on granite. It shows in the rounded boulders the glaciers dropped across the hillsides, in the pale shelves of rock along the shoreline, and in the lake itself, so clear that stones on the bottom look close enough to touch from the end of a pier. Tahoe Rockscapes, Inc keeps the lawns that grow among all that stone, mowing them level and running a careful trim where grass meets granite so the line between the two looks intentional. Under the strong noon sun of a high-country June, that pairing of soft green and silver-gray rock is a handsome thing. The work is about letting the grass hold its own beside the mountain's oldest material.
