Champs Yard & Garden

About Champs Yard & Garden

Sutter Creek runs right through the middle of its town, under the balconies of Main Street, and in October the foothill oaks and maples send their leaves down to meet it. Champs Yard & Garden spends that season raking, hauling, and tucking gardens in for the cold — then spends spring undoing winter, when the Gold Country hills turn green and every bed in town wants attention at once. The yards here climb hillsides and wrap old houses, terraced and tree-shaded, and mowing them takes more care than flat ground ever asks. The crew gives it: clean cuts on the slopes, edges along stone paths, gardens weeded and fed. In a town that keeps its appearance the way it keeps its history, the yards carry their share.
