About Tessa Smith Designs

Late light in Stevenson Ranch does something generous to a well-composed yard — it finds the layers, the textures, the line where lawn gives way to planting. Tessa Smith Designs works for that hour. The studio treats outdoor space as lived-in architecture: lawns placed where feet actually go, greenery scaled to the house, sightlines that make a small yard feel intentional and a big one feel gathered. The follow-through is hands-on, keeping the landscape groomed so the design keeps speaking. In a valley of new neighborhoods, a thoughtfully designed yard is how a house becomes particular.
