PreGra

About PreGra

First light over Stanton is flat and pale, the basin lying level from here to the dark line of the hills, and the day's heat still an hour or two off. PreGra starts there — the ground before the green, the prep and clearing and grading of tired soil that decides whether a lawn takes hold or merely struggles along. From there it is the ordinary care that keeps it: mowing, edging, trimming, weeding the beds, hauling out what has been cut. Getting the base right is invisible work that shows up months later in a lawn that stays even through a long summer. Better done early, before the sun gets serious.
