About Hernandez Gardening

Before the tract streets went in, this ground grew celery and strawberries, and the soil beneath a Stanton lawn still remembers being farmed. Hernandez Gardening works it with the patience that implies: mowing on a set week, edging clean along the concrete, hand weeding the beds, shaping hedges, feeding the lawn ahead of the heat. Gardening here is a year-round labor rather than a summer sprint — something is always growing in a place that barely freezes. The measure of it is a yard that looks unhurried, the way a well-kept garden does. Same ground as ever, different crop.
