About Terra Ferma Landscape Architecture

Out at Oyster Point the wind comes off the bay with opinions, and any landscape that survives it was designed, not decorated. Terra Ferma Landscape Architecture works at that level: site planning, grading and drainage resolved on paper before a shovel moves, planting palettes chosen for salt air, fog, and the care a site can realistically be given. Projects range from residential gardens to grounds that have to work as hard as the buildings they surround. The drawings are the first half of the craft; the finished, weathering-in landscape is the proof. In South San Francisco's climate, good design is what still looks intentional five winters on.
