Memo's King O' Lawn

About Memo's King O' Lawn

August is when Bermuda grass turns stubborn — it runs sideways, creeps over the concrete, and takes a real blade to bring back in line. Memo's King O' Lawn goes at it with some relish: mower first, then the edger walked down the walkway and the driveway until the border is as straight as a ruled line. Hedges get squared, the strip along the block wall gets trimmed to the same height as everything else, and the whole surface is blown down to bare concrete. Midday in South Gate is bright and unforgiving, which is exactly the light that shows whether a lawn was finished or merely mowed. This one is finished.
