Minners Tree Company

About Minners Tree Company

In late autumn the black oaks around Sonora turn bronze and gold, and their leaves drift down onto lawns and red Mother Lode soil all over this old Gold Rush town. Minners Tree Company, a business with trees right in its name, keeps the grass beneath them in good order. The grass is cut, the edges trimmed, and the fallen leaves raked away before they smother the turf as the rains begin. On a crisp November afternoon, with woodsmoke in the air and the Sierra rising to the east, a clean lawn under bare branches has a handsome simplicity. Caring for the ground beneath the canopy is work to take pride in.
