About Stone + Grove Landscape Architects

Torrey pines stand crooked against the wind on the ridges south of town, and cobble worn round by the surf shows up in half the garden walls around here. Stone + Grove Landscape Architects builds Solana Beach gardens out of that pairing, stone underfoot and trees overhead, with lawn kept as an open green room between them. Design comes first, the grade sorted, the paths set, the planting chosen for a place where fog feeds the mornings and the afternoons run dry. Then the maintenance that keeps it true: mowing and edging, pruning young trees so they grow into good form, keeping beds clean around the stonework. Ten years out, the grove closes overhead and the whole garden gets better, which is the version worth planning for.
