About OJB Landscape Architecture

Late in the day the western light comes in low over Solana Beach and lays long shadows across every lawn, which is when you find out whether a place was laid out with any care. OJB Landscape Architecture designs grounds at that scale, reading how people will actually cross a site, where shade should fall, how a lawn panel should meet a path or a low wall. Plans become planting, then planting becomes upkeep, mowing to a consistent height, edging the panels true, pruning so sight lines stay open as things mature. The mild coastal air lets a garden grow year round, which rewards patience and punishes neglect in equal measure. A landscape that still reads clearly in that last hour of sun is one that was drawn right and then kept right.
