About American Mowing Company

Morning reaches the crest of Shasta Dam long before it finds the streets below, and by the time the light slides down into town the mowers are already running. American Mowing Company keeps lawns cut, edged, and trimmed across Shasta Lake, laying down the straight lines a foothill yard never manages on its own. Red clay, blue oak shade, and a sprinkler head that never quite reaches the far corner — that is the ground here, and it asks for attention rather than luck. The payoff is the moment a fresh-mown strip catches the sun and the whole yard finally reads as one clean shape. Clippings blown off the walk, the gate latched behind them, the street quiet again.
