Lake's Gardening Service

About Lake's Gardening Service

After a rare wet March, the land around Shafter does something it only does briefly: everything greens at once, town lawns and field margins alike, and for a few weeks the valley forgets it is semi-arid. Lake's Gardening Service makes the most of that window — spring feeding, the season's first strong cuts, yards reset for the long dry run ahead. The rest of the year is about defending that green as the heat leans in, with steady mowing and care that keeps turf thick enough to shade its own roots. Lawn care in Kern County is a marathon against the sun, run one week at a time. This crew paces it well, and the lawns show it deep into summer.
