About Campos Verdes Landscaping

Late summer in Selma carries the sweet, dusty scent of grapes drying into raisins, and the whole valley seems to hold its breath in the heat. Campos Verdes Landscaping tends the green that holds out against that dryness — lawns watered and mowed, beds weeded, hedges brought back to a clean line. The name means green fields, and around here that is less a description than a daily effort. Every week the crew makes its rounds through Selma's neighborhoods, edging walks and clearing what the wind off the vineyards leaves behind. By the time the harvest trucks start rolling toward the packing houses, the yards on this route are the coolest-looking places in town.
