About Seal Beach Boat Works

The channel into Anaheim Bay smells of diesel, salt and wet rope, gulls arguing over the pilings while a hull gets worked on ashore. Seal Beach Boat Works keeps the grass around the yard and the properties beside it cut back — mowing the open ground, edging along the pavement, trimming the fence lines, clearing the cuttings out. It is not delicate work; it is the kind that keeps a working waterfront from going shaggy at its edges. Fog burns off by mid-morning most days and the mowed ground dries pale in the sun. Order at the margins counts for something on a site like that.
