About California Eco Design

Along the San Gabriel River path the land runs dry and bright most of the year, herons standing in the shallows while the trail hums with bicycles. California Eco Design cares for lawns in exactly that climate — mowing at a height that keeps roots shaded, edging the concrete lines, clearing yard debris before the heat sets into the afternoon. There is a discipline to grass here that people from wetter places never quite learn: cut with restraint, work in the cool hours, and the green holds through August. When the short winter rains arrive the whole town goes emerald almost overnight, and the lawns tended all summer are the ones that take the color best. That is the result worth working toward.
