True Lawn

About True Lawn

Out past the north edge of Santee the built streets simply stop and the open hills take over, chaparral and coyote brush running up toward Fanita, hawks working the thermals above it. Lawns on that boundary sit right where the tame ground meets the wild, and True Lawn keeps them on the tame side: mowed even, edged sharp, trimmed close along every fence that faces the brush. Cuttings are collected instead of left to dry into fuel by the property line. The contrast is the point — a green rectangle, deliberate and cool, held against a gold hillside. It is satisfying work to hand back at the end of a morning.
