Pacific Lawn Mower Works

About Pacific Lawn Mower Works

By ten in the morning a Santee July is already serious, so the mowers run early, and for an hour the neighborhood shares one long low engine note before the day goes silent and hot. Pacific Lawn Mower Works belongs to that hour: blades sharp, height set for the heat, passes overlapped so no ragged seam is left down the middle of the yard. A well-cut lawn stands up straighter and holds its color longer, which is the whole argument for doing it properly. Edges are cut in afterward, then the string trimmer takes the fence line and the meter box. What is left is the smell of cut grass drifting off toward the river.
