About Coastal Tree Services

Every afternoon the wind comes up the valley from the dunes at Guadalupe, and it has been shaping this town's trees since long before the first strawberry field went in. Cypress and pine windbreaks lean inland along the row-crop edges, and trimming them evenly is what keeps them holding instead of shredding. In the neighborhoods, pruning is done with that daily wind in mind — thinning so the air passes through a crown rather than shoving it. Tree removal comes when a windbreak tree has finally gone brittle, and it is taken down bit by bit with the fence and the field both left intact. Storm damage cleanup after a wet system means the driveway raked, the limbs loaded, the yard handed back whole.
