About Terra Nova Ecological Landscaping

The first November rain hits the dust on the hills above Scotts Valley and the whole valley smells like wet duff and manzanita for a day. Terra Nova Ecological Landscaping likes working into that turn — mowing while the grass wakes back up, edging the lines back in, trimming toyon and ceanothus with an eye to how they will fill out, and clearing the beds of everything summer left behind. Yards here sit between chaparral and redwood, and the good ones acknowledge both. The crew takes its time on the cutback, because what gets shaped in the wet months is what looks right come June. A tended yard that still belongs to its hillside is the result worth aiming for.
