About Core Turf Source

A lawn in this county lives two lives: gold and thirsty from June to October, then green almost overnight once the rains start. Core Turf Source works the turf itself — sod laid over prepared ground, tired lawns torn out and rebuilt, aeration to open compacted soil, overseeding, and feeding timed to the wet months when roots actually take hold. On the rolling ground near Pasatiempo and the flat lots down toward Soquel the same order applies: level first, drain right, then grass. Regular mowing and edging keep the result honest week to week. The payoff comes the fourth week after seeding, when a thin haze of green closes up into one unbroken sheet.
