About Chavez Landscape Inc.

Cross the ridge on Highway 17 and the air changes — Scotts Valley sits in it, sandier underfoot, ten degrees warmer than the coast on an August afternoon. Chavez Landscape Inc. builds and keeps yards on both sides of that line, laying out planting beds, setting irrigation so water reaches roots instead of running downhill, mowing and trimming on schedule, and carrying the trimmings away. The crews know which slopes bake by noon and which corners stay damp under a redwood all year. After the first hard rain the whole county flips from brown to green in about a week, and the work turns to shaping everything that shot up. What's left behind is a yard that reads finished from the curb.
