TurFresh

About TurFresh

Late August in Seco Canyon, the day finally breaks about seven in the evening and the lawns get their long drink. TurFresh keeps Santa Clarita turf through the hardest stretch of the calendar, mowing high so the blades shade their own roots, edging clean, trimming the perimeters, and feeding on a schedule that suits this heat rather than a calendar borrowed from somewhere wetter. Weed control runs all summer, because the things that thrive in triple digits are never the ones anyone planted. A green lawn in a brown-hilled August is a small act of defiance, and pulling one off is a genuine pleasure. Then the sun drops behind the ridge and the whole valley exhales.
