About California Creations

Behind Main Street in Old Town Newhall the blocks run older and smaller, with deep front lawns and shade trees that arrived long before the valley's cul-de-sacs did. California Creations works those yards and the newer ones alike: landscape design and installation, planting, lawn care, mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups. October is the good month for making something new — the heat finally lets go, the light comes low and gold down the street, and whatever gets planted then has the cool half of the year to root. Creating a yard is mostly deciding what it is for: somewhere to eat outside, a lawn a kid can cross barefoot, a front that greets the sidewalk. The rest is soil, water and patience, applied in order.
