Goodland Gardens

About Goodland Gardens

Carpinteria's valley floor is a patchwork of glasshouses, and after a winter rain the whole flat catches light like a shallow lake. Everything grows readily here, which is both the blessing and the chore, because a lawn that greens up in January will want cutting in January too. Goodland Gardens keeps that rhythm: cutting on a regular round, running the edger along the walks, weed control in the beds, feeding the turf when it asks for it, and cleanups after the wind strips the trees. Between the rains the hills above town turn from wet green to the color of straw while the yards below stay the steady green people water for. There is real satisfaction in turning onto a street and seeing at a glance which lawns are looked after.
