About Rainbow Landscape

The best weather in San Rafael is arguably the worst: a February squall blowing through Sun Valley, then twenty minutes of sun and a band of color standing over the hills toward Fairfax. Rainbow Landscape works the wet season hard, because that's when Marin grass truly grows — mowing between showers, aerating soaked ground so the roots can breathe, feeding the lawn while the sky is still doing the irrigating. Come May the color has to be earned instead of given, and the routine shifts to steady cutting, careful trimming and keeping the weeds from taking the winter's gift for themselves. It's a two-season rhythm most places never learn, and there's pride in playing it right. A lawn that stays even and green from the first storm to the dry gold of September says everything worth saying.
