Pablo's Gardener Services

About Pablo's Gardener Services

Terra Linda afternoons run long and gold, the light sliding down the western ridge while the sprinklers tick on one lawn after another. That's the hour Pablo's Gardener Services likes best — grass cut in the cool of the morning, then a walk back through at dusk to check what the heat took out of it. San Rafael's summers are famously rainless, so the craft is patience: mow high, feed at the right moment, pull the weeds before they seed, and let a lawn hold its color through October on discipline instead of luck. When the first storms come off the Pacific in November, everything answers at once, and the mowing season starts over. A tidy strip of green in a dry valley is a small, stubborn kind of beauty, and it is the whole point of the work.
