About Green's Tree Service LLC

Marin winters arrive as rivers of rain out of the southwest, and by February every big tree in Gerstle Park has been tested. On the oak-shaded streets of the Dominican neighborhood that testing shows up as split unions and long limbs stretched over roofs — the sort of thing pruning and trimming settle in a morning, before the next front. Storm damage cleanup here is unglamorous and welcome: the driveway opened, the fence freed, the wet wood cut and stacked. Tree removal on these lots is a rigging job, lowered piece by piece beneath the redwoods rather than felled. Then in the dry stretch of summer, a thinned crown lets light back down to a lawn that spent the whole winter in shade.
