About M. J. Newell Landscaping & Maintenance, Inc.

Saturday mid-morning in the Carlmont hills has a sound — mowers a few streets apart, an edger finishing a driveway — and M. J. Newell Landscaping & Maintenance does its part of that chorus during the week, so weekends can stay quiet for its customers. The work is the classic peninsula portfolio: turf cut to an even height, borders and beds maintained, shrubs shaped, cleanups keeping oak leaves and winter blow-down off the grass. Belmont's hills throw sun and shade around unevenly, and the mowing and feeding adjust lot by lot. Initials on a company name suggest a person standing behind the work, and the details bear it out: straight lines, clean walks, nothing left half-done. It is maintenance in the fullest sense — a standard, kept.
