Garden Service

About Garden Service

At noon near Hayward Park the light is flat and honest, and every uncut fringe along a fence line shows. Garden Service takes the plainest name available and does exactly what it implies for San Mateo homes — mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, feeding, aerating and clearing away what the crew cuts. The pride is in the finish rather than the flourish: even height across the lawn, a true edge at the walk, beds left clean. Grass barely stops growing on this stretch of the Peninsula, so the calendar is less about starting up than about never falling behind. San Mateo and the towns immediately around it are within range.
