About Bloom & Lawn Landscaping

June brings the jacarandas out downtown, and for a few weeks the sidewalks off B Street lie dusted purple. Bloom & Lawn Landscaping spends that month doing exactly what the name says — keeping beds flowering and lawns cut close and even across San Mateo. Mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, fertilizing, overseeding thin patches and hauling the trimmings are the weekly bones of it; the flowers are the reward. When the marine layer holds through the morning, the grass stays cool and cuts clean, and a yard finished before noon keeps its shape all week. The service area takes in San Mateo and the towns on either side of it.
