About Exotic Gardens

Late February through March, the old orchard blocks scattered around San Martin still throw blossom, and the valley smells like the start of something. Exotic Gardens likes that season for what it does to a yard — the lawn thickens, the beds fill in, and everything wants attention at once. Mowing, edging, trimming, spring cleanup and the steady clearing of leaf and clipping keep a place from running away with itself. By the time the hills go tawny in June, the yards on the route are holding their shape. Green, level, edged and quiet under the oaks — that is the whole ambition.
