About sky's the limit tree care

By June the jacarandas have thrown a purple carpet across San Marino's sidewalks, and the camphors and old oaks lining these deep lots have grown another season into one another. Pruning here is slow business — a lift on this side, a thinning on that one — because the streets are half the reason people love the town, and a crown cut hard shows for years. Around Lacy Park the canopy sits high and even, and trimming keeps it that way above driveways and porch roofs. When a Santa Ana comes down out of the San Gabriels and takes a limb, storm damage cleanup happens before the block has had time to notice. Tree removal is the last option, and when it is the right one the tree leaves in pieces small enough to carry past the garden.
