San Marcos MMs Corner

About San Marcos MMs Corner

Noon on San Marcos Boulevard: heat coming up off the asphalt near Restaurant Row, shade thin under the young street trees, and the small green squares between the buildings looking either loved or left. San Marcos MMs Corner keeps them on the loved side — mowed to an even line, edged along every curb and walkway, trimmed tight around sign posts and light bases, and blown clean so nothing tracks inside. Homes get the same attention on the same rhythm, front strip to back fence. In a town where the sun runs the show nine months of the year, a lawn kept short, watered well and fed on schedule is what keeps the color from washing out. There is a real satisfaction in the last look back before pulling away, when every line on the property runs straight.
