About San Marcos Landscape & Tree Service

When the wind gets up in the Santa Fe Hills, the old eucalyptus windrows above San Marcos start moving all at once, and by evening the yards below are carpeted in bark strips and long dry leaves. San Marcos Landscape & Tree Service works the aftermath and the upkeep both — mowing the lawn beneath all that, raking and blowing out the drifts along fences and side gates, trimming hedges and shrubs back to a clean shape, hauling the pile away instead of stuffing it behind the shed. Grass here takes shade from the big trees and sun from the wide-open western sky, so it wants a thoughtful cut height rather than a scalping. Get that right and the lawn stays soft and green under the canopy through most of the year. The work leaves a yard that feels cared for rather than merely cleared.
